URBAN FEMINISM 2020
URBAN FEMINISM is a 3 years long running project (2020-2023) on behalf of Tanz im August and HAU Hebbel am Ufer supporting 10 female urban choreographers in their work as such.
In 2020 URBAN FEMINISM got together with the creative production agency Shuto Crew and produced a short film showcasing each dancer in their individuality as well as creating an artistically valuable introduction into urban dance art to the Tanz im August festival audience.

In addition to the short film, four of the choreographers were invited to an artist talk, where we discussed background information, answered questions from the audience and gave some insight on what the name urban feminism means and why it should be viewed critically.
